Parents Day at School

Yes, it was a day greatly looked forward to by the students in Grade One -- Mom and/or Dad were coming to school! Even better (thought Miss J) was that we got to begin the day at the gym.
I remembered to schlep my camera with me, but forgot to start snapping pictures until a dad had already left. Sorry! :(
Here we are noodling. There's nothing quite like everybody's it tag to get you running!

It's always so much more fun chasing after a grown up!

Mean ol' Miss J. Look at them walking to the bus in the snow and in their shorts!

Back in the classroom. Don't you think wacking each other with noodles would be more fun than watching printing?? But maybe it's no accident that some of our printing was neater than usual. Gotta impress Mom, Dad, and auntie!

Don't they get spoiled when dad's in the class?

Reading is a family activity. I guess you already know that Snuggling Up and Reading every day.

Ah French class! We were reviewing our jouets vocabulary and handily beating our moms and dads when SHOCK! A dad won! And won again...

...and so he got tackled by the class. Major distraction technique to help out his opponent. I think it worked.

Blizzard Gets a Bath

Ol' Blizz was getting a little stinky. Well, ok, the room was really starting to smell like a barn. And Blizzard, white like snow Blizzard, was beginning to look more like a yellow bunny. I know, it's gross. And so in came Rob to give Blizzard a bath and some bunny cologne. (Maybe to impress the mice in the room?)

They were fascinated!

So much for our fears that Blizzard would need to be restrained so he wouldn't jump out. Look at him chillin' in his big blue bath.

All the students had a turn giving Blizz a little scrub.

Ahhhhh. Nice and clean and happy! Ok, so he didn't look so happy at the end of it, but he sured smelled better!

Ah, oui. The classroom does smell better. I was beginning to think your guest was pepe le pieu and not un lapin!
