Grape Week

Assorted goings on during a beautiful day in "Grape Week"

Grape Stomping

I guess it's safe to assume this wouldn't have been as popular on Monday when the temperatures were decidedly chillier.  I can't believe how many kids (and adults) put their feet into those tubs and squished grapes.
And I really can't believe that's how they used to make wine.  Ick.  And I know not all these young 'uns are in my class...but they used to be :)
A long and steady line for smushage.
Hahahaha :)
Looks like they stomped glass instead of grapes eh?
He's safe from getting his pants dirty huh?
Watching from a safe distance.

Out came the hose with warm water.  Grass just wasn't working at washing off the grape juice.

A couple of pics

Always welcome in my classroom: a friendly kitten.  And this kitten was the mildest kitten I've ever seen.

Good weather = lunches outside, hoping the cars will honk as they drive by.

Big brother Damian with his brand new sister!  She was quite a hit.

Someone's going to spoil his sister rotten eh?
