Back to School!

I know it would be boring for you if I told you of all the aggravation I've been going through to get back to posting pictures.  Let's just say I've been having blogger issues that I've just figured out.  And now picture me patting myself on my back :)

But here we are!  Back to school again!  As per usual at CCS we begin the year together with an assembly and here they are all stretched out at the front of the room.  (The very hot room as those who were in attendance with us will know)

It's not hard to figure out who my new kids are and who are the returning "veterans" -- the newbies aren't quite as comfy as the Grade Twos are.

And here they are:  the Grade One class being introduced to the school.  Before the assembly starts I have just enough time to tell them that they are going to be introduced to the school and all they have to do is stand there and look pretty (or handsome)  They look a little uncomfortable to be centered out eh?  And check it out, for the first time in a number of years the row of Grade Ones stretch out into a row and a half.

And then the assembly continued.  It may have been a little much for the little ones...

But then we had some comic relief with Dr. DV who was telling us all about his "purple dress".  The kids were enthralled

And so began our first day of the school year 2009 / 2010.  We had a great day together!

In class we've been talking about spending our day praising God and the many different ways that we can do that.  We hope remember this through out the year and we pray for God's blessings on us in this school year.
