A Star Shining in the Dark (videos)

What a wonderful evening we enjoyed! It was a true celebration of our Saviour's birth, performed in song and in word. I'm always so impressed with the students' performance, and this year as well as I go through all the pictures and videos I can see that again.

I'm trying to put videos of the songs on the blog, but it's a rather long process, so they've popped up one at a time. Since we had a snow day, or half a snow day, I've had problems putting up the videos. They're now in posts of their own and I can't seem to write in them nor arrange them in any order. Oh well. I did manage to learn how to cut clips! :)

And due to our starlight, twinkley, night-time atmosphere in the church, the videos are somewhat dark, but they're still very enjoyable!

Here's the song that inspired the theme of the program: A Star Shining in the Dark

Grade 1 and 2's recitation. How can you not smile when they say it?

Rejoice and Sing! Whoa those Kindergarteners are singing with lots of enthusiasm and volume!

Chanson de Noel. Apparently another favourite of the K class :)

Ere Zij God. Ok, so it's also Glory to God, but judging from the volume from the audience this is very well loved in Dutch. I know my mom got a kick out of singing it :)

Oh Miss J...you have just made a delicious snowed in day so much more delectable! Thank-you for posting the singing: Now I can pretend I'm sitting in the audience and hearing this for the first time. Speaking of which, isn't it plain amazing that we never seem to grow weary of these songs when we work on a program?
*sigh* Such a bonus job they did.

'Tis lovely to be snowed in! At least when one is safely home and snowed in.
I'm glad you get to enjoy the singing from a new perspective and can see and hear what we do.
Bonus indeed! Bonus too to our choir director, thanks Mrs. Twink!e :)

Very cool, I've got to say! Too bad I forgot! :( O well, at least I still get to see some of the final product. They did an excellent job! It definitely made me smile to see all of them again, and to see the movers and swayers from back in choir class. :P
Great job, and especially to you, choir director!
