prepping for the end of school

Here are some odds 'n ends found in the nooks and crannies of my vast picture file.

Part of Grade One is the "Snuggle Up and Read" club. Students get a book to read every night and if they finish the year having read 100 books they get their final prize of a book. This year they were Caldecott Honor books. The Caldecott award is given annually to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children. I have some favourite books in the list of award winners!

And Ashley chose one of my most favourite authors!

And here we are preparing for our starring role in the year end assembly. Every year the school says goodbye to the graduating class with a card made by my class. The whole school signs it and the card is presented at the assembly. It's a lot of work on the students' part, but we all look forward to the end results. I have to say they did a great job!

And whenever possible we do cards for siblings and relatives (and babysitters!)

"Well I don't know, do you think it looks like him?"
