So this is pumpkin week and we went off to the pumpkin patch. Last year Grade One went in what seemed like sub-zero temps. (check the archives for proof, it was cold!)
Looking at the wildlife. So nice. And green.
Yeah, green scum. Doesn't it just make you want to dive right in?
The wagon ride is much more fun when you're not bemoaning the fact that the tractor pulls too fast and produces too much wind chill. Yes, it was that cold last year!
Checking out the interior of a pumpkin.
It was really exciting! :)
Picking out the class pumpkin...
...and individual gourds.
This is always a highlight. There seems to be nothing quite like playing with toy farming machines. In fact, when we had them in the classroom the kids' greatest joy seemed to be driving those about the windowsills.
It's also when our tour leader told me she loves having our school visit because the kids are so good. :)
BAAAAAA! These were not shy sheep!
Learning a little more about milk production and milk products.
The moo-shoe. Yes, the reason I took the picture is because I love the name. Moo shoe.
This calf was so new that she didn't have a name yet. The kids suggested Droppie (not that the people at the pumpkin patch would "get" that) and Lilly (which is a Grade Two joke)
The rope! Which produces the longest lines in the play barn. Everyone wants the thrill of swinging out into mid air and then letting go.
Looking at the bunnies. They're way cuter when they don't live in the classroom!
Mr. Photogenic. I don't think he's ever had a bad picture taken of him.

Looks like a lot of fun! Nice compliment from the tour leader too - you can take part in the pride:)
