Off to visit Jack's grandparents' farm we went.
We couldn't have picked a better day to visit the farm than this one.
The highlight was, of course, this hayride. In the beautiful warm weather. Enjoying the sun. And the gorgeous fall scenery. It was great!
We hiked to the top of this hill, which is actually a lot bigger than it looks in this picture. True to form however, check out who is racing up the hill and who is lagging behind :)
Top o' the mountain!
Yep, race to the top and race to the bottom.
Our wagon and its noble steed. Ok, smelly tractor, but we learned that the tractor is a farmer's best friend, so shall we call it the noble tractor?
Aw look, little Pumpkin on the Prairie.
Oops, messed up my formatting of the pictures. Oh well, check out how close we got to the Texas Longhorn cattle! And check out their looooooong horns!

Great pictures Miss J! It's great to see our grandkids in action in and out of the class room.
A Poort
Well hey!
Glad you're enjoying the pictures! It's nice to know that grandparents are enjoying the blog as well.
Howdy,
The pictures are great, I finally had a minute to check then out. Keep up the great work. LS
Had a great time with your class to the farm! Jack's grandpa too! The cattle like to have you back to give them more treats!
If ever you have ants-in-your-pants, Miss J can send you rumming to the top of the hill a couple times!
Really enjoyed reading the responses of JOY in the Kaleioscope. "out of the mouths of Babes!" We can learn from them.
Keep reading this week!
Oh invited back are we?! Yay! We might just take you up on that -- we need to find a spot to take our fall walk.
Do you think I could stay at the bottom of the hill and just send the kids up and down a couple of times? :)
I really enjoyed reading their Joy journals as well. I can hardly wait to see what they're going to write about our next fruit, peace.
Thanks for the comment!
(and I'm reading like mad!)
SURE!!! You are always welcome back for a fall walk! There are trails in the bush too,you can also see the Beverly Swamp. Ice cream bars won't go over well in this cold! Hot chocolate would be better.
