The Math Olympics

During Christian Education Week we enjoyed the Math Olympics. Each day teams such as the Spheres, the Cones, and the Dodecahedrons (yes, really) gathered together to attack the day's challenge.

Monday was Measurement day. The thing was, they had to use the tallest and shortest member of each team as their measuring tool. Here's the Cones measuring their shortest team member (to drag him down the halls later)

This day was hard work!

Poor kids. They had a lot of moving to do..

...and some looked a little apprehensive about it all!

Brain wave! This was an easier way to move the little ones about!

Counting all the hooks in the hallways. This was funny to watch. Not one team ended up with the same number!

LOL. See how exhausting this was?

They seem to think they were team #1. They might have been, come to think of it.

Tuesday was problem solving day. There was lots of hemming and hawing once we got to some toothpick and penny problems at the end.

Thursday was Games Day!
This was a loud and fun day.

Friday we wrapped up with a trivia event.

Still quite sure they're team #1 :)
Let's see, what is 10 + 3 - 9 + 4 + 8 - 6?

Cheering on the team!
It all got to be a bit much by Friday afternoon :)
