In any event, here we go:
Book Week
This week we celebrated all things books, including having a highly beloved book reader in to read to a highly eager class. We were totally absorbed by the story!
Each day in book week we had D.E.A.R. which stands for Drop Everything And Read. While Grade One is making admirable progress with their reading skills (woo hoo way to go kids!) they're not really up to reading for 20 minutes straight.
Grade Two picked a book to read to the Grade Ones and then the Ones reciprocated by reading one of their paper stories back to their partner. It was really rather awe inspiring to see a classroom full of reading children.

Book Character Day
This is always a fun day. It's great to see the school populated with characters we know and love from books we love. And don't they look cute?
Science Class
We're busily learning about plants in science class. Here we're wondering what will happen to our celery stalk when it's put in coloured water. Oh the vast array of hypotheses they came up with!
It was cool when someone noticed that it had finally sprouted.
See?
Even more interesting was to see the grass which had been planted in soil which would be more accurately called slop because it was so overwatered also sprouted. As did the grass which was growing in our cupboard. It's growing most furiously!
Thwack. Those glass doors at the front of the school certainly are a hazard!
Friday Afternoon
Our master builders. (yes, they're wearing shorts. Is that any indication of how many pictures I had stored up on this computer?)

Farming Machinery
Farming Machinery
A farmer I am not. Thankfully we had Justin's dad come in and share his expertise with various pieces of farming equipment.
The kids (as usual :) were very interested!
Phew! Mega post finished!

Looking at those pictures, it is so neat to see how much all those kids love reading so much. At least judging by the looks on there faces!! And how much they love being read to!! So cute!
