What's this? A new post?? In the SUMMER??!!

Classtrip day! Was this about a month ago? I vaguely remember bits and pieces of it, but mostly that big yellow monstrosity called the bus. We spent a lot of time with it.
But look how eager and keen they are to be on the bus and off on our trip!

See, this is the morning. All is quiet. Sedate. Even book reading is happening.

And look, the roads are relatively clear...

An hour (or more probably...) later, here we are on the ferry. We're almost there, we're almost there!

To take a line from one of our favourite books: It's the Railway Children!

This was probably one of our favourite rides, especially screaming down the hill hoping not to get too wet!

The roller coaster!!

Hardly a line up for this ride, so we did it a few times.

Driving the old fashioned cars :) How many years til I'm 16 dad?

Ah yes, the ferris wheel. Which came directly after the carousel. The stomach goes whirling in two different directions, and I've discovered I can't do the rides like I used to.

Nice view from the top! (After you've reassured little ones not to look down)

still a short line up!

The seemingly interminable wait for the ferry home.

But it was a nice ride. The kids were thrilled to see the CN Tower and the Skydome (which was quickly corrected by someone to Roger's Centre!)

I can't tell you how happy we were to once again see the end of the bus and return to school! The ride wasn't quite as sedate as it was on the way. Here we are playing Rock, Paper, Scissors.
It was a long but fun day.
