The first thing everyone wanted to do when they got back to school on Tuesday was put on their team headband. Every day of work since has been completed while wearing their team colours. Tuesday's activity was building the tallest card tower. Who knew it was so difficult to build a tower of cards...when you get scissors and tape?! Each team used a different strategy and to varying results. It was fun though!

Dear Miss J: Thanks for capturing CCS Science Olympic Week in this portfolio of pic's & commentary. It has this curious effect on those of us who tend toward ah..."scientific indifference" if you will. Germinating something akin to fascination would describe it perhaps. Is it right to assume the last team pictured built the tallest card tower? Way to go future engineers! Keep up the great work.
Ah Mrs Twink!e, apparently you needed to be at school today to diffuse your scientific indifference. How could one be indifferent in the presence of ice cream? Yep, that last team did have the tallest tower (gr 1-4), but they also had the honour(?) of working in my classroom. Ergo many pictures of them resulted and currently reside on my computer
