It was a day eagerly awaited by all and yet most anticipated by the Grade Two class who had more than an inkling of what was coming. Periodically throughout the year we had been talking about Dangerous Journey and wondering if it would get read to them this year.
Indeed!
This year we also had the illustrations projected up on the screen for a better look at the pictures. The students made themselves comfortable in their desks, turned their eyes toward the pictures or the reader and sat back to enjoy the read.
And take a closer look at the picture below: as Grade Two had surmised, yes treats were again part of the deal.
They were a rapt audience!
