First Day of School!!

Here we go! Blog year Two!

After some nerves on the part of students (and teacher), and a whole bunch of enthusiastic excitement as well, we started our new school year on Tuesday, September 4, 2007. We hope and pray we have a good year together, and we made an excellent start to the year.

This year our blog stars:

Grade One

and

Grade Two!

It's certainly a packed house in the classroom, and almost immediately a Grade Two student remarked "It's squishy in here!" I must admit, I'm not used to the line up for going to the assembly going on...

...and on....

...and on....

...and on!
Yeah, ok so the line seems longer because some kids have doubled up in the pictures, but I've got to get them all!

After a whole summer off we're back in the assembly room!

Someone's excited to be back eh? :)

But that first assembly sure is a long one and sometimes it gets a little tiring!
The moment we've been waiting for: introduction of the Grade One class!

We talk about it before we go to the assembly so they know what's coming and don't feel too much pressure having the eyes of the rest of the student body and all those parents and grandparents on them. They did well didn't they!
(And, wow! Thanks! You were very quick with returning those consent forms!)

We were so fast returning the consent forms because we LOVE the blog! Thanks for doing it again Tracy --it really helps us keep up with the classroom and the kids love to look at it too!

I have to admit, I quite like the blog too. I spent some time going through all the archived posts and thinking, "Hey this was pretty cool!" That thought was immediately followed by, "Boy, did I ever have a lot of room in the classroom last year!"
Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with posting pics...and getting everyone on here. It's harder to keep track of taking pictures of 25 kids vs 12!
