YAY!!!

They're here!
And I have them in my very own possession. A whole BOX of them!
Check the choir blog for a preview or let me know if you'd like to
order one (or more :) )

More found.

This shirt was found at Landen's house after his birthday party.
If this belongs to you, can you please claim it from me at school.
True to form, the boys have no idea if it's theirs or not.

MISSING!

One grey sweatshirt belonging to Zion.
If you see a sweatshirt with Old Navy on the front that's come home and it doesn't belong to your child can you please let Zion's mom know you have it? Zion's name is on the tag.
Thanks!
FOUND!

Ah it never ceases to amaze me that boys just don't know what their clothes look like. Phys. Ed. days are a wonder as the boys wander out of the bathroom wearing each others jeans and shirts....

(see why I love Mabel's labels??)

Mo Willems

Mo Willems is our Author of the Month...again. It was just too hard to resist and I thought, do I have to wait a whole other year before I read these books to the class?? No way!

So it didn't take long before the Grade One class joined the Grade Twos as ardent fans of Pigeon and Elephant and Piggie.

If you watched the video clip above it mentions how Mo has made his characters easy enough to draw that kids can take his characters and play with them and make their own stories.

Well.

Isn't that EXACTLY what the kids have been doing?!! All on their own, they begged for paper and have been busily working on their own Pigeon books and their own Elephant and Piggie books. They've been mixing characters and having a grand old time.

And the teacher has looked on in gratified amazement.

Ok, how could I resist giving them some time in class to work on it? :)

Pigeon in 3-D!

There's a CD coming out. Did you know?

Yes, yes, I know you know!

But I thought I'd let you know that at the ol' choir blog you can get a sneak peak listen to some of the songs that will be on the Great Hymns of Faith cd.

More poultry week

Here come the chickens! Real ones too. I'll post Jack telling us about the chickens later.

HA! This was as close as she could get to folding her arms.

Wrinkles couldn't last very long on Poultry Dress Up day.

Yes, this is Calvin sitting on a nest.

Yes, this is the egg upon which he sat :)

Getting some story time in with Anthony's mom!

And the highlight of our day: a school wide chicken dance!
